The most common thing first-time patients say at the front desk is "I didn't know what to bring, so I just came." That's fine. But a few things make the visit noticeably more accurate and faster.
Worth bringing
Photo ID Needed to check insurance. If you are enrolled in Korean National Health Insurance, bring your registration card or ID; if not, you can still be seen and we'll explain the fees in advance.
The medications you take Blood pressure and diabetes medications, and especially blood thinners (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs). They change how we plan extractions and gum treatment. If you don't remember the names, a photo of the packaging is enough.
A crown, temporary tooth, or denture that came off Don't throw it away. It can often be re-cemented, and even when it can't, knowing the original shape helps a lot when making a new one.
X-rays from another clinic Bring them if you have them; if not, we take them here. We don't take images that aren't needed.
Worth telling us in advance
- If you are pregnant or might be
- Any previous reaction to dental anesthesia or medication
- If dental visits themselves frighten you — nothing to be embarrassed about. Tell us and we'll go at your pace
- If Korean isn't comfortable for you, a written note or a translation app on your phone works well for describing your symptoms
How the first day goes
Check-in → you tell us what's bothering you → exam and X-ray → we explain what we see and your options → today's treatment. Ask anything during the explanation. You don't have to decide on treatment the same day.
